D3.5 Typicality Survey: ingredients_dataset
收藏资源简介:
A dataset of typical European ingredients collected by Institut LYFE for Work Package 3 of the Horizon Europe-funded RELISH project. Dataset collection and results are found in D3.5, "Survey on Typicality." For each ingredient and corresponding parent dish the dataset include the harmonised canonical name, frequency of mention (F), mean recall rank, and Cognitive Salience Index (CSI). They also provide descriptive information on participants' familiarity and experience with each dish, including the distribution of reported consumption frequencies (from never consumed to more than once a week), the primary contexts in which the dish is encountered (home meals, special occasions, restaurant consumption, or media exposure only), and the mean familiarity rating (1–100) with its associated standard deviation. The ingredient-level dataset additionally reports the same salience indicators (F, mean recall rank, and CSI) for each ingredient within its parent recipe while retaining the descriptive information associated with the corresponding dish. This enables ingredient salience to be interpreted within the broader context of the recipe to which it belongs. The dataset is organised by participating country and are also provided for the overall sample and for demographic subgroups (sex, age group, and combined sex × age groups), facilitating comparisons across populations and supporting future analyses of cultural variation in shared culinary representations.
