Impact of the thyroid hormone T3 and its nuclear receptor TRa1 on colon cancer stem cell biology and response to chemotherapies

We used a reliable spheroid model generated from the human colon adenocarcinoma cell line Caco2 to study the action of the hormone triiodothyronine (T3) and the thyroid hormone nuclear receptor TRa1 in formation, growth, and response to conventional chemotherapies (FOLFOX and FOLFIRI).
