In this project, transcriptomic data were produced to study the profiling of Alexandrium fundyense during physical interaction with or exposure to chemical signals from the parasite Amoebophrya. No complete genomes of Alexandrium species are currently available; therefore, we constructed an Alexandrium reference transcriptome from the available data and used it to map a total of 1.3 billion Illumina RNA-seq reads from the parasite and parasitic waterborne cue-treated samples.
