A dataset for the study of Late Palaeolithic and Mesolithic projectile points from Central Germany using morphometric analysis

The dataset contains the outlines of 825 projectile points made of stone from selected Late Palaeolithic (n=14) and Early Mesolithic sites (n=18) in the western part of Central Germany and surrounding areas. In addition, it includes the R codes used for morphometric analyses. The data allow a critical assessment of similarities and differences between the studied sites, as well as a quantitative analysis of technological developments throughout time, including the standardisation of projectile points.
