Cod. Dresden A.151 Ground Truth, Part I

This is a dataset created during the HTR Winter School 2025 at IMAFO, ÖAW, Vienna using Transkribus. The participants transcribed a total of 110 pages from cod. Dresden, SLUB, A. 151, a 15th-century Greek Euchologion. This ground truth was used to train the private model "Dresden Euchologion 2.3". Participants sometimes transcribed from scratch, but mostly used the private models "Dresden Euchologion 1" created during HTR 2023 or "Dresden Euchologion 2.1" and then corrected manually. Special attention was given to correcting line polygons. The transcription rules were the following: Do not normalise orthography. Keep the mistakes. But tag the wrong word with "sic" and provide the correct spelling. Expand the abbreviations and tag them as such. Add iota suscriptum Transcribe also marginal notes. Have them as separate areas in the lay-out. Punctuation: Keep comma. Use semi-colon, i.e. άνω τελεία (·) for dots inside the text. Use full-stop at the end of the text.
