We examined soil-atmosphere GHG fluxes (Fs) in a sisal chronosequence in Teita Sisal Estate, the third largest sisal estate in the world located in southern Kenya. The effects of stand age on Fs were studied using static chamber and gas chromatography for one year in seven sisal stands with different ages (S1, S2 and S3 young stands: 1-3 years, S7 and S8 mature stands: 7-8 years, and S13 and S14 old stands: 13-14 years), and adjacent bushland as a control site representing the surrounding land use type.
