VPRS 17294 Photographs, Melbourne Olympic Bid Committee

This photographic series was created by the 1996 Melbourne Olympic Bid Committee firstly and primarily to document graphically its activities and secondly to provide material for inclusion in promotional products such as publications, articles and exhibitions. Photographs appear to be both professionally and amateurishly produced.Broadly there are three types of photographic item. 1. Photographs of events mounted by the committee, both within Australia and internationally; 2. Portraits of individuals including Australian sporting personalities, committee members, politicians, Australian and international Olympic committee members, high profile supporters of the committee's activities etc.; 3. Photographs of things, places etc. such as exhibition panels, Melbourne sporting venues etc.
