资源简介:
"This survey, conducted by the South Carolina Department of Highways and Public Transportation for the Federal Highway Administration, is in compliance with the Secretary of Interior's Standards and Guidelines (published in the Federal Register, September 29, 1983). This report also conforms to the Guidelines and Standards for Archaeological Investigations published by the South Carolina State Historic Preservation Office (1991). The purpose of the survey was to locate and identify any archaeological or historical sites which may be affected by the proposed undertaking. Located sites were then to be assessed concerning the criteria for eligibility for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places (36 CFR 60.4; Glassow 1977; Butler 1987). The survey was conducted on July 8, 1992. Initial consultation with personnel from the State Historic Preservation Office. (SHPO) at the South Carolina Department of Archives and History occurred on July 7, 1992. The survey, analysis and report preparation were conducted by Wayne D. Roberts of the South Carolina Department of Highways and Public Transportation. The site form and artifacts are to be transferred to the South Carolina Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology for permanent curation."
