Carbon Risk Rating Data

ISS ESG provides financial market participants, governments and universities with carbon and climate data, ratings, analytics, and advisory services.

Climate change is among the top issues for investors globally. The financial sector has demonstrated an unprecedented commitment to climate leadership by taking prominent roles in international climate initiatives such as the Montreal Carbon Pledge, the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and the Paris Climate Agreement.

The Carbon Risk Rating assesses, on a scale from 0 to 100, how a company deals with industry-specific climate risks. The scale can be translated into four broader performance categories: Climate Laggard, Medium Performer, Outperformer, and Leader.
