All animal experiments were done according to the rules of ethics of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, and were approved by Institutional Animal Care Ethics Committee. All mice were maintained at 22 Celsius, controlled moisture of 60 percent, and in 12h light and12h dark cycle with ad libitum access to food and water. After a three-day acclimation period of standard rodent food, the food was replaced by the experimental diets. Thirty-two male 7-8-week-old mice, C57BL6J were randomly divided into 4 groups n=8 per group. Experimental groups were as follows: normal-diet ND, HFD, HFD with Hanoch peanuts HFDh with ww 4percent, HFD with high oleic acid Hanoch-Oleic HFDo peanuts, ww 4 percent. Diets were given for 18 weeks. Bodyweight was recorded once a week and food intake was measured three times weekly.
