Statistical Classification of Products (UPC)

The UPC establishes the basis for the development and dissemination of statistical information by types of products (goods or services).
The basic principle of the UPC is the description and structuring of products that were obtained as a result of the implementation of economic activities. The code of the type of product at class level (4 code marks) usually corresponds to the code of the type of economic activity for the KVED-2010.
The UPC is designed to distribute data into product categories that have common characteristics.
The UPC is the basis for the preparation of statistical data on the production, distribution, trade, consumption, foreign trade and transportation of these products.
The UPC serves as the basis for the creation of statistical nomenclatures of products (goods and services) with the level of detail necessary for the organization of statistical observations in a certain field.
