Forest fire – rescue points

The service (WMS service) represents the forest fire map of the Saarland in the Geoportal.: In case of accidents in the forest and in the open landscape, the introduction of rescue workers is of particular importance. The otherwise common names of roads and house numbers are not found here, hall names or operational designations of forest areas or sites are often not understood and therefore misinterpreted. As a result of this situation, a system has been created across countries where rescue workers are ordered to a clearly designated rendezvous point. These points lie in the landscape in such a way that they can be clearly described and can also be reached as quickly as possible from potential accident sites in the forest and landscape.
