US Forest Atlas FIA Forest Type Groups All CONUS (Image Service)

This dataset portrays FIA National Forest Type Groups. Each group is a subset of the National Forest Type dataset which portrays 28 Forest Type Groups across the contiguous United States. Forest Type Groups are aggregations of forest types into logical ecological groupings. These data were derived from MODIS composite images from the 2002 and 2003 growing seasons in combination with nearly 100 other geospatial data layers, including elevation, slope, aspect, ecoregions, and PRISM climate data.本数据集呈现了FIA国家森林类型组（FIA National Forest Type Groups）。每个类型组均为国家森林类型数据集的子集，该数据集涵盖美国本土分布的28个森林类型组。森林类型组是将各类森林类型按合理生态逻辑归并形成的聚合集合。本数据集的数据源为2002年与2003年生长季的中分辨率成像光谱仪（MODIS）合成影像，并结合了近百种其他地理空间数据图层，涵盖海拔、坡度、坡向、生态区以及PRISM气候数据。
