Dataset to accompany article "Combined compression and cooling, using a Game Ready® device, does not reduce symptoms of eccentric muscle damage: a randomised controlled trial"

The data set contains values for 16 individuals ( n = 2 females, n = 14 males) mean ± SD; age = 21.5 ± 2.0 yr; mass = 73.6 ± 16.5 kg; height = 1.8 ± 0.9 m) who took part in the study (from November 2021 to November 2022). Data were collected at 5 time points (pre-0 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, and 72 hours, 96 hours post-exercise) over 1 week period. The variable name in column A is the assigned groups (CON - Control; CRC - Compressive cryotherapy). The variables names are named in each subsection starting at 'Pre-0' hr and going to '96' hr; MVIC - Maximal voluntary isometric contraction; CMJ - Counter movement jump; VAS - Visual analogue scale, ROM - Range of motion.

An amended version of this dataset with additional data was added on 3 June 2024.
