The highest earning segment of the media and entertainment industry in Russia in 2020 was internet access, with a revenue of over 471 billion Russian rubles. Digital advertising followed, having earned more than 266 billion Russian rubles in 2020 and forecast to increase to almost 356 billion Russian rubles in 2025. The music industry revenue was expected to nearly triple between 2020 and 2025.
