Studies on the alteration of microbial communities in marine sediments by fish cage aquaculture activities

Sediment was collected from the non-cultured waters of Daya Bay in the South China Sea, sieved and processed, and different concentrations of particulate organic matter (POM) collected from the fish cage area were added and mixed to simulate the state of the sediment under different culturing intensities and reconstruct the redox pattern, in order to study the impacts of fish cage aquaculture on the sedimentary environment and microbial production.
