The samples in this study were derived from the rumen fluid of sheep in Alar, Xinjiang. Alar, with its unique geographical environment and climatic conditions, may endow the rumen microbial community of local sheep with special structures and functions. The collected rumen fluid was used to ferment sweet sorghum straw, which is considered a potential high - quality roughage resource.
