Mare endometrosis is a chronic, degenerative condition of the endometrium characterised by progressive accumulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) components within the endometrial stroma, accompanied by disruption of glandular structures. The recent study showed alterations in the expression of genes associated with inflammation and T helper (Th)1 and Th2 activation pathways in the endometrium of mares with endometrosis. However, the potential involvement of immune cells, particularly Th1 and Th2, in the pathogenesis of endometrosis remains to be elucidated. The aim of the experiment was to determine the influence of Th1 and Th2 cell secretome on potential signalling pathways, biological and molecular processes by transcriptomic and bioinformatic analysis in endometrial fibroblasts. The endometrial fibroblasts derived from category I endometrium (n=4) were treated with Th1 and Th2 conditioned medium derived from 5 biological replicates for 48h.
