资源简介:

Victoria, adjusting the sandal (No. 37 in the Catalogue of the Simu Museum from 1910), representing a body of goddess of unbelievable beauty, was part of the rail of the small temple of Nike Apteros (Goddess of Wings Without Wings). The original is at the Acropolis Museum in Athens. A copy of it is fixed in its original place in the temple. After the temple was completed, around 410 BC there was added a parapet around it to prevent the fall of the people from the height. The outside of the parapet was adorned with sculpted carved sculptures showing Nike in a variety of activities. A bas-relief from this parapet shows Nike tying her sandal.
