Solutions to the loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services from the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) network

Solutions to the loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services for sustainable use, conservation and restoration of biodiversity, climate adaptation, sustainable food production and socioeconomic well-being from social-ecological production landscapes and seascapes (SEPLS) in East, Southeast and South Asia. The dataset includes solutions generated from experiential, Indigenous peoples and Local communities (IPLC), and multi-stakeholder (private, research, NGO, government) knowledge in collective action initiatives in social-ecological production landscapes and seascapes (SEPLS). The solutions include both those existing (applied) and those suggested for use in the SEPLS. The solutions have been categorized and sub-categorized using a framework from the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment. There are a total of 489 solutions in the dataset. This dataset is made available for use by communities searching for solutions to the loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services and can also be accessed by policymakers that want to access solutions from varied knowledge sources (Indigenous, community, experiential)
