Paste this: Data and R scripts supporting the analyses reported in Prada Villalobos, M. (2026). Tapir (Tapirus bairdii) as a Guide for Corridor Functionality Assessment and Conservation Priority Setting: A Spatially Explicit Regeneration Potential Index for Costa Rica. Landscape and Urban Planning (submitted). Contents: tapir_occurrences_clean.csv — cleaned Tapirus bairdii occurrence records for Costa Rica (GBIF + iNaturalist, n = 30 prior to thinning) tapir_occurrences_thinned.csv — spatially thinned occurrence dataset (5 km minimum distance, n = 140) used for species distribution modelling 00_setup.R through 08_figures.R — full R analysis pipeline, from data download and cleaning through MaxEnt modelling, TMRPI computation, scenario projections, and figure generation All spatial analyses were conducted in R v4.3.1 using the terra, sf, and ggplot2 packages. MaxEnt modelling used the ENMeval 2.0 package. Occurrence data were retrieved from GBIF and iNaturalist (2000–2023).
