Point Lobos Smith’s Blue Butterfly Survey

Report of a survey which found no life stages of the Smith’s blue butterfly (Euphilotes enoptes smithi) at Point Lobos State Reserve, despite having been observed there in the past. Includes letter from Richard Arnold describing the survey, a map of the distribution of the food plant (Seacliff buckwheat, Eriogonum parvifolium) within Point Lobos SR, and a CD containing ArcView files of the buckwheat map.
