The following dataset was used for the publication "Hyperspectral imaging for precision nitrogen management: a comparative exploration of two methodological approaches to estimate optimal nitrogen rate in processing tomato" (DOI 10.1016/j.atech.2025.100802). The dataset includes hyperspectral reflectance data from 400 to 1000 nm, monitored in an open field experiment in tomato crop with different nitrogen fertilization level. At five moments of the growing season the aboveground biomass (AGB) and the nitrogen nutrition index (NNI) were monitored and reported in the following dataset. On the same sampling date, the crop reflectance was monitored with an unmanned aerial vehicle. The data were generated in the framework of the “FrontAg Nexus” project.
