The genome of Ectocarpus subulatus strain Bft15b, a highly stress-tolerant brown alga

Here we present the draft genome sequence of a haploid male strain of Ectocarpus subulatus strain Bft15b, a representative of a highly stress-tolerant species of Ectocarpus. Analyses based on Illumina paired-end and mate-pair sequencing, an assembly using Soapdenovo and SSPACE and gene predictions using Eugene.
