Genome skimming was carried out for Euphausia pacifica (Euphausiacea) and Calanus glacialis (Copepoda). Different input DNA (1 pg, 10 pg, 100 pg, 1ng, and 10 ng) were used for library constructions to evaluate the effects of input DNA amounts on genome skimming in marine crustacean zooplankton. Genomic DNA was extracted from a single individual of each species using a DNeasy Blood & Tissue Kit (Qiagen). After dilution of the extracted DNA, QIAseq FX DNA Library Kit (Qiagen) was used for library constructions, and the raw 150PE sequence data were obtained for different input DNA amounts in each species on Illumina HiSeq or NovaSeq systems.
