This study aimed to perform a comprehensive analysis of changes in the HepaRG cell transcriptome induced by a potent aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) agonist, 3-methylcholanthrene, with a specific focus on genes encoding drug-metabolizing enzymes and transport proteins. We hypothesized that the resulting data would reveal novel aspects of AhR-dependent regulation of pharmacogenes, thereby deepening the understanding of the mechanisms underlying potential drug-drug interactions in the context of AhR induction by both exogenous and endogenous ligands.The transcriptomic profile was characterized using Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) long-read sequencing. This dataset thus provides a valuable resource for profiling full-length transcripts in this widely used hepatocyte model.
