Fungal community profiling from infant nasal samples collected after Hurricane Maria

Hurricanes can alter fungal community composition, which has been linked to adverse respiratory outcomes, particularly in vulnerable infants. This study characterizes the nasal fungal communities of infants following Hurricane Maria and compares the mycobiome profiles of those recruited one year versus two years after the hurricane.
