资源简介:

The 2008 general elections were held with the system introduced by Law no. 270 of 21 December 2005 (the so-called "Calderoli Law"), which replaced the previous laws no. 276 and 277 of 1993 (Mattarellum). In order to be able to compete in the elections, the law provided for the preliminary obligation for each list, or coalition of lists, to deposit its own mark, a program and to indicate the person designated as the head of the political force, or coalition. The law provided for a correct proportional system with a majority premium and the election of several parliamentarians at the same time in extended constituencies, without the possibility of indicating preferences. Different territorial areas were envisaged for the award of the majority prize: for the Chamber, the entire national territory (excluding Valle d'Aosta); for the Senate, the single district, coinciding with the territory of a Region[11], except for the regions Valle d'Aosta, Molise and Trentino-Alto Adige. The dataset contains data on the 2008 general elections for both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate. For both the House and the Senate there are only party lists. - The data comes from the DataWareHouse of the Municipality, managed on SAS platform. The data is processed by the statistical office that deals with the publication and collection of data on the occasion of the election round.
