Communications Earth & Environment 'Global inequities in population exposure to urban greenspaces increased amidst tree and nontree vegetation cover expansion'

City-level population and human exposure to urban greenspace over the globe between 2000 and 2020 have been provided. The sum of the population was computed based on the Gridded Population of World Version 4 (GPWv4). A population-weighted exposure model was used to assess the spatial interaction between the population and urban trees or nontree vegetation, which provided a quantitative measure of the extent to which people are exposed to green areas in urban environments.
