资源简介:
This metagenomic dataset includes sequencing data of total arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) from phosphorus-deficient acidic soils in the Northeastern region of India. Samples were obtained from both undisturbed and cultivated sites across upland (Mizoram) and lowland (Tripura) conditions. The study aims to establish baseline data on dominant AM fungal diversity in these regions, ultimately supporting the development of biofertilizers incorporating efficient AM fungi and phosphate-solubilizing bacteria for sustainable agriculture in acidic soils.we performed whole shotgun sequencing to characterize the AMF community of soil using Illumina MiSeq This study specifically examines variations in AM fungal communities between undisturbed and cultivated areas and evaluates the impact of soil physicochemical properties on AMF diversity. We hypothesize that these acidic soils harbor diverse AM fungal communities that play a critical role in soil nutrient cycling and plant health. Understanding the key factors influencing AM fungal diversity is essential, particularly given the increasing recognition of AM symbiosis in ecosystem sustainability.
