The following data contains lidar pointcloud scans recorded with two Livox AVIA. One records duration is 5 seconds to get a dense pointcloud based on the use of a non-repetitive scanning pattern. Within one file four topics are available (each sensors lidar pointcloud data and their IMU data). The files can be opened with the tool Foxglove and processed with the repository pointcloudset.
The sensors were mounted on top of the top ski lift mast at the Sukkertoppen in Longyearbyen in Svalbrd, Norway.
The data was collected from end of March 2025 when the setup was finally configurated to operate to mid of Mai 2025 when now snow was covering the measurement landscape anymore. The data uploaded are records which were daliy taken within the hour after 00:00, 06:00, 12:00 and 18:00 UTC. At some days records are missing as either updates have been applied to the measurement station, the internet connection was not available and data could not be uploaded or the power was cut off by locals.
