IGR J17407-2808: THE FIRST LOW-MASS FAST X-RAY TRANSIENT
收藏资源简介:
IGR J174072808 is an enigmatic and poorly studied Xray binary with variabilityproperties typical of the class of supergiant fast Xray transients.Nevertheless, it hosts a late typeF dwarf star, which would classify it as alowmass Xray binary, although its Xray properties are very different fromthose of this class. We propose a simultaneous NuSTAR and XMMNewton observationto perform the most sensitive spectral and timing study of this source, on awide Xray band (0.279 keV). The Xray observations will be accompanied byoptical spectroscopic observations with Xsthooter and will enable us to collectinformation about IGR J174072808 fundamental to understand its nature and theXray emission mechanism that powers it. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
