A dataset on Fruit Fertilizer application for Sweet Orange production

This dataset represents the raw data collected during the study carried out in Benin, West Africa.
The research spanned eight months using a split-plot design with four replications and 15 treatments, including a control. Treatments included doses and application frequencies of NPKUrea, Poultry litter, and Fruit Fertilizer. A total of 300 trees were considered. The trees were 10-14 years old. Each Fruit Fertilizer dose was applied over 10 trees using a MAC AFRIC pressure sprayer. Recommended doses of NPKUrea fertilizer and poultry litter were applied per tree.
Soil texture and nutrient concentration were analyzed from soil samples collected from each experimental site. The canopy density of the sweet orange trees was determined as described by Livingston et al. (2023). Fully developed fruits were harvested and weighed for yield in kilograms per tree.
