Bachelor's Degree Programs in Renewable Energy and Energy Generation in Mexico: A Comprehensive National Dataset (2025-2026)

This dataset provides a comprehensive, systematic documentation of bachelor’s degree programs related to renewable energy and energy generation in Mexico for the 2025–2026 academic year. The dataset was compiled to address the need for transparent, national-level data on workforce development capacity in the renewable energy sector. Data were systematically collected through a six-stage protocol, including the analysis of official government databases (RVOE), rigorous institutional website searches, and direct institutional verification. The dataset includes 105 programs hosted by 91 unique institutions across 29 of Mexico's 32 states, representing 90.6% national coverage. Each record in the CSV file contains seven standardized fields: Institution name: The official name of the university or technological institute. Program name: The specific title of the undergraduate degree. Degree level: Academic level (licenciatura). State/Province: The geographical location of the program. City: The municipal location. Institution type: Classification as public or private. Website URL: The direct link to the program's official page. The data demonstrate a significant geographic concentration of energy-related academic offerings and highlight the prevalence of specific engineering curricula, such as "Ingeniería en Energías Renovables." This dataset is suitable for educational planning, policy analysis, labor market research, and comparative international studies regarding energy transition infrastructure. All data are provided in a clean, CSV format with 100% completeness across all fields.
