A global survey of full-length transcriptome of Rhamnus heterophylla

Rhamnus heterophylla, is an economic tree species that contains flavonoids and can be used as a raw material for industrial dyes. Interestingly, both large and small leaves exist on the same branch of R. heterophylla, without a clearly molecular mechanism. Therefore,a combination of second-generation sequencing (SGS) and single-molecule real-time (SMRT) sequencing was applied to R. heterophylla to understand the mechanism on leaf size determination.
