La cultura della scrittura nel riminese e la colonizzazione romana

Among the various components that characterised the Roman conquest in the Adriatic area, we chose to investigate the spread of one of the most indicative cultural elements, namely the evidence of writing. The area identified is the Rimini area, for which the very few documents dating between the 6th and 4th centuries B.C. that predate the arrival of the Romans were taken into consideration. Their small number would suggest that it was only with the phases immediately preceding Romanisation and the subsequent permanent settlement that the progressive spread of writing culture took place, representing a significant novelty in the cultural panorama of Rimini and its hinterland.
