The GCIP/NESOB-96 Sub-Surface NCDC Daily Soil Temperature Dataset contains data from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). This dataset was formed by extracting soil temperature data from the GCIP/Enhanced Seasonal Observing Period 1996 (GCIP/ESOP-96) NCDC Summary of the Day Cooperative Dataset for the NESOB 1996 time of interest. This dataset covers an area slightly larger than the NESOB area of interest.
