Replication dataset and analysis scripts for "Regional Differences in Sensitization Patterns Among Children with Allergic Asthma in China: A Latent Class Analysis and Age-Related Characteristics

This dataset and the accompanying R scripts were used to perform the Latent Class Analysis (LCA) in our study titled "Patterns of aeroallergen sensitization in asthma patients: A cross-sectional study in Southern and Northern China". The files include: "Southern_and_Northern_Data.xlsx": The anonymized and processed patient-level dataset (N=580). "Southern_Cohort_Analysis.R": R script for LCA modeling and statistical analysis of the Southern cohort. "Northern_Cohort_Analysis.R": R script for LCA modeling and statistical analysis of the Northern cohort. Data analysis was conducted using R (v4.2.1). The missing data were handled using the 'missForest' package, and the LCA was performed using the 'poLCA' package. This archive is provided to ensure reproducibility and transparency of our findings.
