Groundwater level monitoring, Havelländisches Luch, Germany

The Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) e.V. has been monitoring groundwater levels in the Havelländisches Luch near Paulinenaue since 2014. The area is a typical agricultural used grassland site with a groundwater table near surface (up to 1.5 m below surface). The dataset contains daily mean values from three measuring points located on two neighbouring areas. The distance between the gauges is maximal 300 m. A drainage ditch runs between the two areas. The ground elevation of measurement points is between 28.5 mNHN and 28.8 mNHN.
The points are M1: 52°41'28"N/12°43'56"E (28,69 surface level), M4: 52°41'28"N/12°43'51"E (28,77 ) and M8: 52°41'31"N/12°43'40"E (28,55). The entire data set is updated annually.

Methods: The groundwater levels are measured with an automatic datalogger system with pressure transducer (WPS 05, Ackermann KG). The measurement interval of the data logger is one hour. Daily averaged values are stored in the data set.
