The data is collected for the quantitative investigation about Mandarin subregional dialect of Xinyang. Vowel formants and pitch values of tones constructed the main body of the data set. The upcoming paper "Vocalic and tonal properties permit effective automatic classification of Mandarin subregional dialects" is written based on the analysis of the whole data set. All the data were collect by the author, and was supported by the Youth Foundation of Social Science and Humanity, China Ministry of Education under Grant number: 21YJC740035.
