Replication data for: Estimating Drivers' Time Cost Function for California's Freeway System

Replication package for "Estimating Drivers' Time Cost Function for California's Freeway System" (Journal of Urban Economics). Contains the data and Stata code needed to reproduce all tables and figures in the paper. The raw data are hourly freeway traffic records from the Caltrans Performance Measurement System (PeMS) for California freeways, February through April 2020, together with the auxiliary data used to construct freeway-county lane miles, capacity, county-level work-from-home potential, traffic incidents, weather, and roadwork. Running master.do reproduces the estimation samples and all reported results. Unzip to any location and run master.do (set $root at the top of the file to the unzipped folder).
