DNA methylation of leukocytes from sporadic breast cancer patients and healthy controls in Latin American population

The study aimed to compare the DNA methylation differences between blood samples from sporadic breast cancer patients and healthy controls from a well-defined cohort in Uruguayan population. Infinium methylation arrays (450K Illumina) are used to identify genome-wide methylation differences between groups. The identified differently methylated CpG were further analyzed in an independent cohort of 80 breast cancer patients and 80 healthy controls.
