This dataset contains 9,671 records of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula associations. Its core content covers the names of basic TCM formulas, the names of Chinese medicinal herbs included in the formulas, herbal dosages, dosage units, and efficacy analysis of the formulas (referred to as formula rationale). It is developed to support TCM formula research, clinical medication dispensing reference, and TCM teaching. The dataset includes composition and efficacy data for 999 basic TCM formulas (e.g., modified Jingfang Dabiao Decoction) and 1,101 types of Chinese medicinal herbs, which can meet the needs of TCM research including formula structure analysis, efficacy query for clinicians during medication dispensing, and formula case explanation in TCM teaching.
