资源简介:
Tephritidae (true fruit flies) are a large (>5000 spp), economically important family of Diptera (flies), including numerous pests of a wide variety of fruit crops. In an effort to increase representation of taxa not previously targeted for molecular taxonomic analysis, various diverse specimens of Tephritidae and other families (mainly other Tephritoidea) from the USNM and other collections, including 43 species from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, were sequenced for the Cox1 barcode and are gathered here. This NCBI BioProject contains DNA barcode records that were generated with financial and technical support from the Systematic Entomology Laboratory (USDA, ARS) and Federally funded Smithsonian Institution Barcode Network with use of facilities at the laboratories of Analytical Biology, National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution.
