<b>Mining genes involved in paratomy in the transcriptome of the flatworm </b><b><i>Stenostomum leucops.</i></b>

Paratomy is an asexual reproductive process that occurs in annelids, flatworms and other groups. It involves the formation of anterior structures in the middle of the body arising segmented organisms, each segment being called a zooid. Once the zooids have formed, they detach to form new organisms. Using RNAseq of worms with 1 and 2 zooids, we search for genes that are differentially expressed and may be involved in controlling this process.
