Permafrost depth profile at the Storflaket Mire, Abisko, Sweden

The goal of this study was to characterize the effect of permafrost thaw on microbial community structure. Samples were collected every 10 cm along the permafrost depth profile at the Storflaket Mire in Abisko, Sweden. A soil incubation experiment was conducted using a subset of these samples to investigate community shifts with thaw. Data includes both in situ and post-thaw community compositions.
