Calliphora vicina Transcriptome or Gene expression

This study generates de novo transcriptome data of Calliphora vicina pupae (Diptera: Calliphoridae) in different development stages via MACE analysis (Massive Analysis of cDNA Ends). The data provides relevant markers to be used for downstream application, e.g. qPCR for qualitative gene expression analysis for age estimation of blow fly pupae. The emerging possibility of a molecular age estimation of blowfly pupae within Forensic Entomology can extend the period for a successful postmortem interval determination in forensic sciences and for other purposes.
