Contrast-dependent visual acuity under positive lens–induced myopic defocus

This dataset contains de-identified visual acuity measurements from a hospital-based repeated-measures study investigating the independent and interactive effects of positive lens–induced myopic defocus and stimulus contrast on logMAR visual acuity in young adults.

A total of 300 participants (150 low myopes and 150 emmetropes), aged 18–35 years, were assessed monocularly under natural pupil conditions at a 6-meter viewing distance. Visual acuity was measured across four levels of induced positive spherical defocus (+0.50 D to +2.00 D) and five Weber contrast levels (100%, 70%, 50%, 25%, 13%).
