Transcriptomic Investigation of Wolbachia of Brugia malayi. Wolbachia endosymbiont of Brugia malayi strain:TRS

RNA-sequencing of the bacterial endosymbiont, Wolbachia of the filarial nematode Brugia malayi, reveals and supports the existence of several new genes and pseudogenes. This may be relevant to the tens of other Wolbachia genomes sequenced since this strain was first sequenced in 2005, as well as to the much-asked questions as to the basis underpinning this diverse bacterium's relationship with its hosts.
