The purpose of these experiments was to validate the role of a frequently mutated regulatory element bound by TOP2B using a functional genomics approach. Specifically, CRISPR/Cas9 was employed to selectively target the promoter of RMRP and non-coding regions of CCDC107 and ARHGEF39.
